THE APPLIANCE OF SCIENCE
Practical therapy. Clear thinking. Lasting change.
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), complemented by Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other evidence-based psychological interventions. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, grief and other emotional or psychological difficulties.
Whatever brings you to therapy, I approach our work together with compassion, curiosity and care. My approach is collaborative, practical and grounded in contemporary psychological research, helping you understand the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, physical responses and behaviours.
Therapy is about more than reducing symptoms. It's also about understanding what keeps difficulties going, developing effective ways to respond to life's challenges and making meaningful changes that help you think, feel and behave in ways that reflect the person you want to be.
